[Suddenly, Lloyd face.]
—is it working? …
[There’s half a second more of a very perplexed looking young man before he’s apparently caught on that it is indeed working, and he’s grinning ear to ear, clearly giddy and impressed with the technology he’s received.]
Oh, wow! This is so neat!! It’s really recording, just like that woman said, hahaha! Man, we don’t have anything like this back home.
[A pause, and then…] O-oh, uh, right. So I don’t really have a clue what’s going on, or how I got here or anything, but I’m Lloyd. Apparently I’m supposed to be a trainer, or something, which I guess means I have to walk all over the place and fight a bunch of people. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but they gave me this…
[Well, he’s not really sure how to describe the little blue creature sitting on the bench next to Lloyd, clearly visible (yet disinterested) in the camera shot. There was nothing quite like this in either Sylvarant or Tethe’alla. At a loss for how to describe newly, um, acquired companion, Lloyd simply continues.]
I guess he’s called a Totodile. And um, I think I’m supposed to fight with him instead of just fighting by myself. Especially since my swords are gone. And it’s not like I can abandon him now after he was entrusted to me, right? So even if I don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing here, he's still my responsibility to look after.
[Interestingly, his Totodile has chosen now to gaze up at his trainer, but Lloyd doesn’t seem to notice, or at the least, doesn't react to it. Instead, he’s sighing.]
I just wish I knew where to go from here.
